Houston, TX (October 1^st, 2005)  Isabella Shipping Co. Ltd (Bermuda)  has appointed Nkargo Logistics LLC.  as it’s new sales agent in the Gulf Coast. The appointment is linked to the launch of Isabella’s new service to and from Costa Rica, the first sailing of which will take place on October 20^th , 2005 in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica bound for Freeport, TX. 

Juan Ariztmendy, Sales Manager for Nkargo said, “Although Nkargo is a relatively new Agency, our team has been active for over 15 years in the transportation business most of them directly involved with the Ocean Freight industry; we’re confident we are the right partner for Isabella and we are ready to grow side by side with them.”

He added, “By joining our forces in the USA market with Isabella’s General Agent Interoceanica Agency,  Nkargo Logistics LLC. will provide the necessary resources, qualifications and products to anticipate our customers satisfaction.”   

Nkargo is the head sales force in the united states for this new venture this new venture, which links Puerto Limon (Costa Rica) with Freeport (Texas) and adds to Isabella’s current services to Freeport which began in April from Turbo (Colombia).

Isabella will dedicate two vessels to maintain this weekly service: the MV Magnific and the MV Maveric, this last one recently added to the service to accommodate the Puerto Limon call, both ships have a capacity to carry 2,500 tons of cargo per voyage each.

“According to PROCOMER (Foreign Trade Coporation of Costa Rica), 42.6% of all Costa Rican exports in 2005 will have been to the USA, we are in the right position to help the Costa Rican companies that are already exporting and those who are interested in doing so, move ahead and better serve their customers, they need new options, it just makes sense for us.”  Said Carlos Agudelo, Operations Manager for Interoceanica Agency, General Agents for Isabella.
